WHO AM I?

My name is Emily Lisner and I am a senior at the University of Michigan. I am a majoring in Communication Studies with a Minor in Writing as well as the Program for Entrepreneurship.

I am interested in exploring the digital world that we are now immersed in. As a Writing Minor, this portfolio serves as a space to showcase my work throughout my college experience. Under the “artifacts” tab, you will find pieces from both English and Communication courses, which critically analyze social media and contemporary music. Most notably, this portfolio includes my capstone project, which investigates social media and the positive implications it can have on its users. This project is divided into three distinctive categories: samples, content analysis, and case studies. With so much scrutiny, it is important to investigate the supportive and positive aspects.

Additionally, this portfolio includes an essay entitled "The Process to Achieve a Writer's Epiphany" which discusses my journey and relationship with writing, as well as other writing artifacts from my academic writing career.
